BIO

FAM, French visual artist, born in 1987, lives and works near Paris, France.
She brilliantly earned her master’s degree in computer engineering studies at the University Panthéon-Sorbonne and pursued a doctorate for two years in the same university. However, beyond lines of code and algorithms, her soul burned with a much deeper passion. She chose to fully devote herself to her art, leaving behind certainties to follow her true passion. Growing up in an exclusively feminine environment deeply acquainted her with the portrayal of femininity. Her narrative paintings, primarily centered on this theme, are imaginative constructs, frequently provocative, wherein aspects of her personal life are translated into surreal or hyper-realistic pastiches. Fam removes the ambiguity for viewers in identifying the subject, redirecting their focus towards her mode of expression. With backgrounds or accompanying objects mirroring the body language of the depicted women, portrayed with subdued emotions, the artist encourages viewers to empathize and reflect on the inner world of the models. In recent years, she has participated in several group exhibitions in France and internationally, including: the Salon des artistes locaux (Centre d’art La Graineterie, Houilles) for the 49th (FR, 2022) and 50th (FR, 2023) editions, December in Montreuil for the 2nd season (FR, 2023), at the aspacearts gallery in Southampton (UK, 2023), at Art Boom NFT - Focus Art Fair «BOOM» at the Carrousel du Louvre, Paris (FR, 2022), at the Ghost Gallery in Seattle (US, 2022), Anonyme Zeichner 2022 at the Galerie im Körnerpark, Berlin (DE, 2022), and nominated for the Prix de Novembre in Vitry - 50th edition, in Vitry-sur-Seine (FR, 2019).
